South Mugirango constituency Member of Parliament Hon Silvanus Osoro has come out and alleged what transpired behind the scenes before retired President Uhuru Kenyatta addressed the nation after his son’s House was raided by detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigation.
While speaking from Kisii during President William Samoei Ruto’s development tour the vocal legislator alleged that retired President Uhuru Kenyatta’s son was summoned by the DCI to be grilled over the alleged guns that were recovered from his house but he refused to honor the summon.
He then allegedly informed his father Uhuru Kenyatta on the invasion of DCI sleuths and that is when the former head of state came out to defend his family from a police raid that took place at her son’s house.
The National Assembly Majority Whip also went ahead and alleged that 100 guns were recovered from the house in which the police conducted the raid. He wondered how someone can have a license to own over 100 guns.Â
This comes after the Interior Cabinet Secretary Hon Kithure Kindiki confirmed that indeed police raided some homes in Karen and recovered some guns which will undergo forensic examination. He alleged that rungus and Machetes were also recovered.
Uhuru Kenyatta hit out at the government accusing it of going after his family. He dared the state to go after him and he vowed to protect his family at all cost.
