With the implementation of the finance bill, a lot of Kenyans are not happy with the Kenya Kwanza Government. This is because of the increased cost of living that has been witnessed since the swearing-in of President Ruto.
In a bid to bring back some confidence in the government and to convince Kenyans that the Kenya Kwanza Government has been overworking, Dennis Itumbi took to share a list of achievements that the government should be given credit for.
As per Itumbi, the Government has managed to do the following in the last ten months:
1. Releasing money due to counties for the first time in 9 years.
2. Entire CDF cash released
3. July, the first tranche of the new Financial year was released, the first time since Counties started.
4. Equalisation Fund signed.
5. Cash transfers for the vulnerable being paid before salaries.
6. For the first time since 2014, the government has paid the first Shs. 908m to wildlife-human conflict victims. Since the law was passed in 2013, the compensation was ignored by the powers that were in office.
7. Gas prices are down.
8. Various vegetables and cereals in the 235 markets record a significant drop.
Even though it is not clear whether Kenyans will give credit to the government for the above achievements, Kenyans do not appear satisfied with the government.
