The third wave of demonstrations as referred to by Azimio was witnessed last week. In this series, protests were held on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

Wednesday has the highest number of activities, while on Thursday and Friday, minimal activity was seen. Speaking on what picture this has painted to the international community about Kenya, Foreign Affairs CS Mutua says it has shown that Kenya is a democratic country.

He is of the opinion that the demonstrations have not painted any lousy image. In fact, he says he has been receiving letters of Heads of State, Foreign Ministers and Prime Ministers who want to either visit Kenya or are inviting President Ruto or the CS to their country.c3f0992f02934aad8f9b62a77d082754?quality=uhq&resize=720

“Every single day I get letters in my office requesting two things, for the head of state, foreign minister, or prime minister to come to Kenya or inviting myself or President Ruto to visit some country. Right now Kenya is in high demand. Why? Because we support democracy,” he says.

Further, CS Mutua says that there are no people who have cancelled their plans to visit Kenya owing to the presence of demonstrations. In fact, he says there are 50 ministers and their representatives here in Kenya.
