Uasin Gishu County Governor Jonathan Bii Chelilim on Thursday unveiled new uniforms for all county officers. The new regalia, with well-branded names and identification numbers for each officer, is aimed at upholding discipline, professionalism, integrity, and promoting respect and honor among the residents of the county and the business community.
Speaking during the unveiling ceremony at the county headquarters in Eldoret, Governor Chelilim said the new uniforms are part of his administration’s efforts to enhance service delivery. He said the uniforms will help to identify genuine officers from imposters, and will also deter officers from engaging in corrupt practices.
“The new uniforms will help to instill a sense of pride and professionalism among our officers,” said Governor Chelilim. “They will also help to build trust and confidence between the officers and the public.”
The governor warned that any officer found to be engaging in corrupt practices will be dealt with severely. He said his administration will not tolerate any form of indiscipline or misconduct from county officers.
The new uniforms were designed by a local firm, and were manufactured locally. They are made from high-quality materials and are designed to be comfortable and durable.
The unveiling of the new uniforms was attended by a number of county officials, including the county secretary, the county commissioner, and the heads of various departments.
