Azimio senior Principal Kalonzo Musyoka through the Communication Director of the SKM Command Centre has now issued a late night statement regarding the deliberations of the Azimio coalition, just hours after National Assembly Minority Leader Opiyo Wandayi and Majority leader Kimani Ichung’wah issued another statement.
In the joint statement, Wandayi and Ichung’wah informed that Azimio and Kenya Kwanza camps have deliberately agreed to settle their fractions through a dialogue. Proposing the formation of a ten-member committee, the team stated that there would be only five agendas to be discussed.
That’s, the creation and entrenchment of the Office of the Official Opposition leader, Implementation of the 2/3 gender rule, entrenchment of CDF funds, embedment of the Office of the Prime Cabinet Secretary and reconstitution of IEBC.
However, Kalonzo’s Communications Director Paloma Gatabaki has now listed the agendas of Azimio coalition that were not listed im the previous statement. In her statement, she has informed that the Opposition coalition has four main agendas that’ll be deliberated during the ceasefire dialogue.
They include;
1. The high cost of living
2. Electoral audit and IEBC reforms.
3. Non-interference in coalitions and their constituent parties and
4. Accountability and probe into police brutality that has claimed dozens of innocent lives.
