Change Of Heart? What Ruto Has Told Raila After Realizing He’s Doing This Recently In Azimio Rallies

President William Ruto has given permission for opposition leader Raila Odinga and his Azimio Alliance group to hold rallies, but he emphasized that they must maintain peace.

On Saturday, July 1, the President cautioned that protests should not result in property damage or destabilize the economy.

During a ceremony celebrating the return of Treasury Principal Secretary Chris Kiptoo, the President criticized opposition leaders, stating that their demonstrations were not contributing to food production.

Other leaders who were present alongside the President expressed their disapproval of the judiciary’s decision to halt the implementation of the Finance Bill 2023 until a case filed by Busia Senator Okiya Omtatah is heard and resolved.

“I am happy because the opposition has agreed with the government on subsidising production. They have now shifted from mass action to political rallies. We are only asking them to stop destroying property during their protests.” President Ruto said.

Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has stated that government officials will not accept a salary increase in an economy facing challenges. He emphasized that cabinet secretaries who are dissatisfied with their current salaries should resign and allow others to take their positions.5f5e34bb35824864aa2c63cd642389d4?quality=uhq&resize=720

“Even if money to increase salaries is made available, we will not take the pay rise because it is immoral to enjoy hefty salaries when Kenyans are struggling to make ends meet,” Gachagua said.

Gachagua emphasized that even if additional funds were allocated for salary increments, they would decline them due to the moral issue of enjoying high salaries while the Kenyan population is facing financial difficulties.

Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi criticized the Judiciary and called upon it to respect the procedures established by the State.
