BREAKING NEWS: A New Registrar Of The Judiciary Appointed Today To Replace Amadi

As reported by the Kenyans.co.ke, Clarence Awuor Otieno has been appointed to take over this position by the judiciary. The announcment of her announcment was made by the JSC. However, Awuor’s appointment has surprised many people as she was not among the shortlisted candidates. On other hand, JSC says that Mrs Awuor was interviewed on monday and she emerged as the winner of this post. “JSC on Tuesday, July 25, appointed Clarence Awuor Otieno as the new registrar, but her name was not among the shortlisted candidates in a May 22 statement by the commission. The interviews were conducted on May 31, and it’s not clear whether she was among the people interviewed for the role.” Said the reports.

Mrs Awuor is said to have been admitted to the bar in the year 2004. She then served as the advocate of Ocharo & Company advocates between 2004-2007. She then joined the judiciary in the year 2008 as a resident magistrate. She rose to senior resident magistrate, principal magistrate and to senior principal magistrate. Before being appointed to this new post, she was acting on this position. If her appointment will not be challenged, she will succeed Anne Amadi.
