Kenya’s Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi is on the verge of loosing his position as a prime cabinet secretary following a case filed by a lobby group in court.
According to the latest development, Operation Linda Jamii a group of people that has filed a case in the High Court seeking declaration of the office of Prime Cabinet Secretary as unconstitutional after it violeted article 47 (1) of the constitution.
The group is comparing Mudavadi’s office with that of the Deputy President which according to them is meant to assist the president in running his daily operations.
If the lobby group wins the case already filed, then the entire Ruto’s Cabinet may be paralyzed owing to the fact that the government has appointed various state officers who are serving in different capacities that are unconstitutional.
In the filed case, Attorney General Justine Muturi and Secretary to the cabinet Mercy Wanjau have been named as potential respondents.
