Today in the afternoon, reports have emerged that another Azimio leader from Ukambani region has been arrested by the police in connection to last week protests that lead to one death in Emali area.
As reported by the TV 47 Kenya, the deputy majority leader of Makueni county has been arrested by the police. According to this publication, hon Music was arrested by the police in the afternoon hours. His arrest was announced by the Makueni county speaker hon Douglas Mbilu who said that the reason for his arrest is not yet clear. On other hand, the MCA of Huruma ward hon Peter Owera has also been arrested.
“Makueni Deputy Majority Leader alias Muso arrested. Muso was reportedly arrested at his home in Kilili in connection to demos that led to the destruction and closure of Mombasa-Nairobi Highway in Emali on Wednesday, July 19. Makueni County Assembly Speaker Douglas Mbilu says the reason for his arrest remains unclear.” Said the reports.
