Musalia Mudavadi:We Have Suffered for Many Years in Western Region, it is Time to fix the Imbalance

The prime cabinet secretary hon Musalia Mudavadi now says that the time to fix the Western region has come.

Mudavadi says that comparing to other regions in the country, the western region has been left behind for a long period of time and this is the time that the imbalance will be fixed.

“As a region we have suffered for many years and to be honest we have been left behind in terms of development as compared to other regions,” Mudavadi said.

He says with the Kenya kwanza government the Western region have a big chance of of addressing the challenges like unemployment which have been rampant and bring the necessary development.

“This government presents a better chance for us to address this imbalance. We have to open avenues for development and job creation for our region.” He said.

The prime cabinet secretary has hailed the head of state who have been touring the region for the last five days with gift hampers of development projects and job opportunities.

Mudavadi thanked president William Ruto for giving a lee way for Sang’alo technical training institute to be upgraded and be Bungoma National polytechnic and Shiambere technical to be upgraded to a national polytechnic.

“Sang’alo Technical Training Institute will now be upgraded to Bungoma National Polytechnic, the same applies to Shiamberere Technical Training Institute. All these strides were reached at that cabinet meeting.”

He further said that the head of state is determined to walk in the same journey with the people of western Kenya and will not only solve the sugar industry but other concerns in the region.

“This is a major statement that the President made to the country and more so to our people. Apart from addressing the issues affecting our people in the Sugar sector, major resolutions concerning roads, agriculture, education and water among other areas were reached,” he said.

He said this during a live interview at a local radio station when he spoke in his native luhya community dialect.
