The enemnity between President William Ruto and his predecessor seems to intensify each day. The Former President has been accused by Kenya Kwanza allies of sponsoring Azimio La Umoja One Kenya anti government protests. Ruto has been faulting Uhuru of trying to interfere with the running of the government through the opposition. The enemnity that dates back in 2022 election where the Former President backed Raila Odinga instead of his then Deputy William Ruto.
The enemnity has escalated to Jubilee party in which Ruto has been trying to snatch the Party from the jaws of Uhuru, Jeremiah Kioni and David Murathe. The leadership of the party seems to be heading towards Ruto’s allies Kanini Kega, Aden Keynan and Sabina Chege. And after realizing that the ownership of the party could be taken away from him, Uhuru has changed direction and now leans towards PNU party, once ruling party. PNU could be the surviving destination of Uhuru to retain his political strength in Mt Kenya region.
