AFC Leopards unleash 10 new faces for 2023/24 campaign

AFC Leopards are set for the upcoming FKF Premier League campaign with the confirmation of 10 new players joining their ranks.

The club had already introduced four players on Thurssday and now adds to their squad to reinforce their prospects for the season.

Aziz Okaka back at AFC Leopards

Aziz Okaka returns to AFC Leopards from Wazito FC, signing a two-year contract and donning jersey number 30.

He is joined by striker Brian Yakhama who arrives from FC Talanta, where he scored 8 goals last season. He signs a two-year contract and will wear jersey number 9.

Luke Wafula Namanda, a winger with experience at Tusker FC and Nzoia Sugar FC, joins AFC Leopards from Musanze FC in Rwanda.

He’s signed on for two years and aims to use this opportunity to make it back to the national team. “It is my pleasure to join AFC Leopard. It was my dream that I would play for such a big team. My target is to win silverware with my team and also get back to the national team,” he told the club’s media.

Boniface Munyendo, a defensive midfielder, comes on board from Nzoia Sugar FC on a two-year contract. Also joining from Nzoia Sugar is a striker Yasin Sije who has signed two-year contract and will don iconic jersey number 14.

Vincent Mahiga, a Left Wingback with experience at Chemelil Sugar, fulfils his childhood dream of playing for AFC Leopards.

He’s signed a three-year contract and is aiming for assists, goals, and trophies at the club. “My target this is to make as many assists, score goals, win games, and trophies at the club,” he noted.

Loren James Sati, a right-back who previously played for Soy United and comes from Division 1, understands the challenge but is determined to win titles with Leopards.

He’s signed a three-year contract and will wear jersey number 24. “My biggest target is being a champion with this great club,” he expressed.

More AFC Leopards signings

Shawn Daniel Oloo, a midfielder with past stints at Sofapaka FC and Wazito FC, has signed with Leopards for two years.

He’s focused on reaching the highest level possible as a player and winning titles for the club.

“It’s a chance to do better and reach the highest level possible as a player. Looking forward to winning some titles for the club,” he said.

Brian Mandela Solomon joins AFC Leopards as a right back/centre back from Mwatate United on a three-year deal.

He’s ready for his FKF-PL debut and aims to contribute to the club’s success. “It’s an honor to be part of a team of professionals who motivate me to give out my best,” he stated.

In addition to these outfield players, AFC Leopards has also acquired young goalkeeper Abubakar Musha on a three-year contract.

Musha, who will wear jersey number 99, is determined to work hard and compete for the club’s first-choice goalkeeper position while aspiring to become a champion with AFC Leopards.

“My target is working hard and fighting to be the club’s first-choice goalkeeper. I also want to be a champion with AFC Leopards,” he expressed.
