According to a report by Taifa Leo, a section of Kenya Kwanza leaders attended a meeting a State House, Nairobi where they discussed the conduct of National Intelligence Boss(NIS) boss Noordin Haji, barely one month after he was sworn in. The leaders allege that Haji is favouring Azimio leader Raila Odinga, who has called for national wide protests against the high cost of living.
The Ruto-affiliated leaders also accuse Haji of supporting a dialogue between Raila and Ruto, in a bid to end the political war that has seen the country plunge into chaos. The disgruntled leaders also discussed the dalliance between retired President Uhuru Kenyatta and the NIS boss.
They allege that Haji reportedly met Uhuru and Raila. ” Haji should decide whether he is a politician affiliated to Azimio or a Government employee,” one of Kenya Kwanza leaders allegedly said during the meeting.
Some of the leaders suggested that Haji’s conduct should be discussed both in Parliament and in the Senate and if need be, he should be fired. Haji was also accused of failing to gather enough intelligence to help police officers avert demonstrations that have rocked the country.
