Fox News reported on September 1, that Trump was a clear favourite for the Republican as he is widely expected to run for re-election in 2024. If he does, he will need to avoid making the same mistakes that he made in 2020.

One of Trump’s biggest mistakes was making false claims about the election being stolen from him. He repeatedly made these claims, even though there is no evidence to support them. His false claims were widely debunked by election officials and experts, but he continued to make them, even after he lost the election.
“Trump’s false claims about the election were a major factor in his loss,” said political analyst Nate Silver. “If he wants to win in 2024, he needs to stop making those claims and focus on the issues that matter to voters.”
Another mistake that Trump made was alienating moderate and independent voters. His rhetoric and policies alienated many moderate and independent voters. He was seen as divisive and unpredictable, and many voters were turned off by his style.
“Trump also alienated a lot of moderate and independent voters with his rhetoric and policies,” said political scientist John Sides. “If he wants to win in 2024, he needs to moderate his message and appeal to a broader range of voters.”

Finally, Trump’s campaign was disorganized and lacked a strong ground game. This made it difficult for him to get out the vote in key states.
“Trump’s campaign was also disorganized and lacked a strong ground game,” said political strategist David Axelrod. “If he wants to win in 2024, he needs to build a more organized and effective campaign.”
Trump has not yet formally announced whether he will run for president in 2024. But if he does, he will need to avoid making the same mistakes that he made in 2020.
