The Dawson’s Creek star, 45, wore striking yellow trousers and a navy blue top, teamed with black sandals.
She wore oversized sunglasses and carried her belongings in a tote bag while talking on the phone.
Katie’s walk comes just days after her daughter Suri Cruise’s 18th birthday last Thursday. She shares Suri with her ex-husband Tom Cruise, 61.
Tom, who has ‘played no role in Suri’s life’ for eleven years, has not publicly acknowledged the milestone.

He is currently in the UK filming Mission Impossible 8 and on Saturday evening he attended Victoria Beckham’s star-studded 50th birthday party in London.
Now that Suri is legally an adult, she has made a big decision: she never wants a relationship with her father again.
He even performed a breakdance routine in front of his fellow celebrity guests, including Victoria’s former Spice Girls bandmates Mel B, Emma Bunton, Melanie C and Geri Horner.
Tom has been estranged from Suri since 2013, a year after he and Katie divorced.
The Top Gun actor’s last photo out and about with his daughter was a trip to Disneyland in 2012, the year his divorce from Katie was finalized.
She hasn’t spent much time with her world-famous father in 12 years, and it’s sent her a message – one she wants to uphold now that she has a choice.
Turning 18 means she can officially sever any remaining ties with Tom on paper and the Top Gun star will no longer have to pay child support to Katie, an amount that reportedly amounted to $400,000 per year.
But even the potential of future financial help will not entice Suri to enter into a relationship with her father, the insiders emphasize.
“Suri won’t have any contact with her father despite being 18, and even if he called she wouldn’t answer,” a source told DailyMail.com. “He doesn’t exist for Katie or Suri, and his daughter won’t rely on him for anything.”

Meanwhile, Tom has been combining work and play during his long trip to Europe, and even partied the night away with his friends, the Beckhams, at Victoria’s 50th birthday bash on Saturday evening.
They continued, “She feels like she has one parent and that’s her mother.”
