Fallout TV series gets a trailer; Reacher renewed for Season 3

The trailer for the Fallout TV series has arrived, while Reacher has gotten a season 3 renewal.

War may never change, but one thing seeing a major uptick is hype for the Fallout TV series, as the latest trailer has arrived ahead of the show’s spring debut on Amazon Prime Video. Plus, one of the Prime Video’s biggest shows, Reacher, starring Alan Ritchson, has nabbed an early season 3 renewal.

Released at CCXP in Brazil over the weekend, the trailer for Fallout comes after the teaser and release date announcement in October. Also recently arriving were new photos that gave fans a glimpse into what’s to come for the Fallout adaptation in regards to characters and visuals.

Fallout has a stacked cast that includes Walter Goggins as Cooper Howard / The Ghoul, Ella Purnell as Lucy and Kyle MacLachlan as Hank, in addition to Xelia Mendes-Jones, Aaron Moten, Mike Doyle, Moisés Arias, Sarita Choudhury, Michael Emerson, Leslie Uggam, and more. The series comes from Lisa Joy and Jonathan Nolan, best known for HBO’s Westworld, which should give fans confidence as far as the tone goes.

The Fallout TV series has been in development since 2020, five years after the most recent game in the main series was released. To date, four Fallout primary games have been produced, although numerous spin-offs have kept gamers busy. Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas are generally considered the best entries in the franchise. A Fallout 5 is expected to arrive sometime after Bethesda Game Studios releases The Elder Scrolls VI.

The Fallout TV series “follows a community of people living in luxury fallout shelters who are forced to return to the irradiated hellscape their ancestors left behind — and they’re shocked to discover an incredibly complex, gleefully weird, and highly violent universe waiting for them.” Fallout comes to Amazon Prime Video on April 12th.

The Fallout series kicked off back in 1997, with the second installment arriving the next year. The third entry would take another decade, but it was well worth it for fans and critics, with the likes of IGN naming it Game of the Year. The series has even expanded into tabletop games, with Fallout Factions set to arrive the same year as the series.

Meanwhile, Reacher, just ahead of its season 2 debut on December 15th, has nabbed an early season 3 renewal, which shouldn’t come as a surprise as season one still ranks as one of the service’s most watched TV shows.
