County Government of Baringo Hiring 337 Enumerators

DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE, LIVEOMY

The Ministry of Interior and National Administration, Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development, County Government of Baringo through the Department of Agriculture, Livestock, and Blue Economy in collaboration with the Emergency Locust Response Project (ELRP) is pleased to announce the recruitment of Agricultural Value Chain actors Agri-preneurs/Enumerators at the County level for a period of one (1) month on a temporary basis.

ROLE

·         The Agriprenuer will be involved in data collection in order to Profile and map all Agricultural Value Chain Actors in the ward within a given enumeration area  

Agri-preneurs/Enumerators (Three Hundred and Thirty seven  (337) positions)

Requirements for Appointment are as follows:

1. Must be between 20 – 45 years of Age with a National Identity Card or Passport.
2. Must be an active resident of the Ward in which the profiling exercise is being undertaken.
3. Minimum academic qualification of a post-secondary qualification (Certificate, Diploma, and Degree) from a recognized institution, preferably in Agricultural Sciences, Agribusiness, Statistics, Social Sciences,             Community Development & and related disciplines.
4. Demonstrate some experience in Agriculture and Agri-business and interactions with             farmers
5. Must own a smartphone and be computer literate.
6. Must be able to communicate in Kiswahili, English, and the local dialect in their locality.
7. Ability and willingness to remain personally involved and committed on a full-time basis.
8. Strong experience in community mobilization and training farmers on agricultural value chains.

The applications should be hand delivered between 8.00 a.m. – 5.00 p.m. to the Agriculture Office, County Commissioner Building 2^nd floor, opposite Huduma Centre, Baringo, and received by 5.00 p.m. on Friday 1^st September 2023, or Nearest Sub County Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries office.

All applicants must indicate the position for which they are applying, the Ward and Sub-County on the left corner of the envelope.

The application should include; an application letter, copies of academic certificates, and a copy of the national identification Card and a CV.
