The Directorate of Corporate Services in the ICT Department is seeking a dedicated and skilled ICT Officer to support and maintain the Authority’s ICT systems, networks, and equipment. Reporting to the Principal ICT Officer, this role is essential for troubleshooting hardware and software, managing system security, and ensuring smooth daily operations within the department. Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate, support, and continually improve business applications, computer hardware, and LAN networks.
  • Provide comprehensive ICT user administration and support.
  • Troubleshoot and repair hardware, operating systems, and applications.
  • Track, monitor, and document recurring issues, coordinating with users, project teams, and service providers for resolution.
  • Implement computer security measures, including antivirus management, patches, and access control.
  • Maintain an updated inventory of ICT equipment.
  • Commission, repair, and maintain ICT equipment, including desktops, laptops, printers, CCTV, and other peripherals.
  • Review, test, and evaluate hardware and software to ensure compatibility, reliability, and efficiency.
  • Assist in implementing the Authority’s ICT policies and procedures.
  • Conduct staff awareness sessions on technological updates and cybersecurity.
  • Backup data, including user, CCTV, and biometric data.
  • Coordinate and schedule preventive maintenance.
  • Support the implementation of ISMS, QMS, ERM, and BCM initiatives.
  • Assist in onboarding new staff and orienting them to ICT systems.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business Information Technology, Telecommunications, Electronic Engineering, or a related field from a recognized institution.
  • Certification in Microsoft NAV and CRM is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting, programming, and problem-solving.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team and multitask effectively.
  • Compliance with Chapter Six of the Constitution.
