ABOUT AVENUE HEALTHCARE

Position: Homecare Lecturer [Nairobi]
Position Type: Contract (1 Year)

Reports To: Homecare Coordinator
JOB OBJECTIVE/PURPOSE
To ensure quality of learning at Avenue Homecare
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1.Coming up with the training syllabus and determining the scope of training
2.Revising/updating the training curriculum
3.Spearhead content development in liaison with the Head of Operations
4.On boarding of new students
5.Ensure that the facility has the necessary equipment/training aids and constantly check that they are in good working conditions
6.Teaching various subjects as assigned by the lead trainer
7.Development of the classroom timetable under the guidance of the lead trainer
8.Performing clinical supervisions
9.Adherence and coverage of the training syllabus
10.Relevant setting and accurate marking of examinations
11.Invigilation of examinations to ensure zero examination malpractice
12.Carrying out clinical placements and conducting regular checks to find out how work is being carried out
13.Perform student evaluation
14.Perform practical assessments for students both in class and clinical areas
15.Support marketing activities to ensure growth in numbers and revenue.
16.Ensure that students’ tuition fees is paid up before the final qualifying examinations
17.Perform students admission/orientation
18.Ensure client satisfaction (staff, students & fellow lecturers) through communication, feedback and timely escalation of issues
PERSON SPECIFICATION
•Diploma in nursing from any recognized institution. A Bachelors degree is an added advantage.
•A valid nursing council of Kenya license
•Minimum of 3 years of working experience preferably in a similar position
•TVET accredited trainer
•Up-to date BLS & ACLS Certificates
•Homecare Business and administrative work experience strongly preferred
•Strong computer and phone skills(Word, Excel, Outlook, Google Workplace etc)
•Excellent communication skills
