Youths suffer from high rate of unemployment and some result to drug abuse. To mitigate this, County Government of Murang’a has commenced a programme that will contribute to equipping youths with necessary skills through provision of various SHORT-TERM opportunities.
Whereas, the county cannot employ youths permanently due to legal prohibition that disallows salaries payments beyond 35% of total budget, internship programme is an innovative manner that equips Muranga youths with skills and experience required by private sector.
These opportunities are hinged on Internship Policy and Murang’a Youth Service Policy/Regulations approved by the County Assembly.
