10 MINUTE WORKOUT

Set a timer for 10 minutes and repeat the following sequence of three moves as many times as you can:

  1. 10 squats
  2. 10 pushups
  3. 20 second plank

Holmes noted that “you can do this anywhere, anytime, without any equipment.”

The coach explained that all you have to do is set a timer for 10 minutes and repeat the following set of three moves as many times as you can: 10 squats, 10 push-ups, and a 20-second plank.

The footage shows him doing squats in the bathtub and on his living room table, planks on his kitchen island and chairs, and push-ups on his bed and outside, proving that the three exercises can be done almost anywhere.

“If you’re trying to lose weight, you need to exercise to get more exercise in any way you can,” he explained in the caption.

“Don’t squat in the shower,” someone responded.

“You’re not kidding about ‘you can do it anywhere’ when you’re planking on (your) kitchen (island),” someone else joked.

“I have the time, but I don’t have the motivation, and I don’t know how to be motivated,” another admitted.

Holmes recently opened up about his own weight loss journey Instagram as he shares before and after photos of himself.

He explained that one of the “biggest mistakes” he made was thinking he could lose weight on his own and that he “didn’t need to hire a coach.”

“I went from 175 pounds to 237 pounds for over a decade of my life,” he wrote. “I can’t remember or count how many times I’ve lost a bunch of weight, only to gain it all back.

‘I don’t know how many stupid diets I’ve tried. Or stupid training programs. Or thousands of dollars wasted on useless supplements and fat loss pills. And all because my ego and pride didn’t want to admit that I couldn’t figure it out on my own.’

Holmes admitted that he spent more than a decade of his life “unhappy and frustrated” with his body because he “didn’t see the value in getting help.”

“It took a real low point where everything in my life seemed to crash at once for me to realize how much I was just getting in my own way,” he said.

‘About seven years ago I finally pulled my head out of my ass and joined a coaching program with a local trainer. There was nothing special about the plan he gave me. To be honest, they were all things I’ve tried before myself.

‘But the responsibility, combined with investing in my health and fitness, made me really prioritize my goals for the first time.’

Holmes said he stuck with the program for six months and lost a total of 45 pounds, a weight he has maintained for the past seven years.

“My mindset about investing in myself has changed forever because it has literally changed my life for the better,” he added. ‘Health is actually all we have…

‘Without our health, everything else in life becomes more difficult and less enjoyable. Without good health, the short time we have in this life becomes even shorter.

‘Investing in my health is something I will never stop doing.’
