Rita Ora admits she can’t believe she has a husband.
The singer, 32, tied the knot with Oscar-winning director Taika Waititi, 47, last summer and says she’s still pinching herself one year on.
Rita appeared on This Morning on Tuesday to promote the release of her album You And I and gave a rare insight into her marriage.
Talking about her Taika directed her music video, the songstress told Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary: ‘I’ve got a husband! Can you believe it? It’s so weird working with him but so fun. He’s a really great person.
‘A lot of people say we look a like, can you see it? My friends say it, I did not do that intentionally.

‘It’s nice to be with someone who really stimulates me mentally, respectfully… everyone, let’s not go there.
‘He really does have this great knowledge about music as well as film and books. He just expanded my creativity in a natural way which I am grateful for.’
Rita was asked about why she took such a long music hiatus after You and I was released on Friday.
She said: ‘I just don’t force it. I dug deep into my songwriting and it felt right to put it out into the world again.
‘When I do music I really want to just home in on that. We spent two years going through my journal and I’ve never really been a journal-er but someone told me I should try it. I do it everyday, just a little bit and now here we are.’
During the show, Rita surprised Alison and Dermot when she made an impromptu appearance down the catwalk during the fashion segment.
The singer asked: ‘What do you guys think? Is this too dark for summer?’
Rita continued: ‘This is an old number actually, I got this from my mother’s wardrobe. I wanted to show a bit of knee but not too much. I’m doing an album promo and I wanted to keep it classy for this morning, so surprise.’

Earlier in the day, Rita shared a glimpse into her surprise trip to Mallorca to perform for the Love Island 2023 cast on Instagram.
Sharing a selection of snaps, the singer showed off plenty of underboob and her toned abs in a Miu Miu black crochet bra and pleated orange and khaki miniskirt.
Rita teamed the look with white Dior lace up boots and a cream Miu Miu handbag.
The songstress appeared in her element as she posed up a storm for the cameras in the racy outfit, before sharing a sneak peak at the preparations for her performance.
Joined by the Love Island crew, one photo showed Rita in a white minidress and cowboy boots as the crew set up filming by a luxurious pool.

Rita wrote: ‘See you on @loveisland I’ll be performing some new songs off my album and surprising the islanders! #dreammade I LOVE the show, guilty pleasure forever!
The songstress is appearing on the show to play a set for the Islanders, in which she will sing new single ‘Praising You’, in line with the release of her third studio album ‘You and I’.
The Love Island contestants are said to have ‘absolutely lost it’ when Rita performed for them.
She told Alison and Dermot: ‘Guys my dream has come true. I am singing some songs, surprising them, in peak heat by the way it’s so hot there I was sweating in places I didn’t know I could sweat from. And then… I can’t tell you what happens, but I was so excited to be there.’
‘They were all asking what its like on the outside. I love Jess, she’s a real good girl. But yeah, they all wanted to know what it was like and I wasn’t allowed to say anything.’
The star has likened this album – which was released on Friday – to a ‘diary’ and has co-written every track.
Talking about her new music, Rita said: ‘The ‘You’ in You & I represents more than just the man I love.
‘It’s my mum, my friends, my fans, and in some ways, it represents the relationship I have with myself.
‘This album has been like my diary for the past two years, and I’m so thrilled you finally get to hear it.’
Rita’s performance comes after Ne-Yo performed in the Love Island villa earlier in the 10th series.

After his set, he took the girls outside for a selfie, but a car pulled up with ‘Casa VIPs’ written on the side.
Ne-Yo then told the ladies: ‘I have a surprise for you … that car right there.’
The girls then jumped in and headed to second villa Casa Amor, to meet six new lads.
Back in the main villa, the lads were stunned when they realised their ladies had left for Casa.
But they were soon joined by six ladies, including the return of previously dumped contestant Molly Marsh, who went on to reconcile with Zachariah Noble.
