Meredith Marks is happy to see the old gang getting back together.

The 51-year-old Real Housewives Of Salt Lake City star shared with People that she’s ‘excited’ about her former costar Mary Cosby returning to the fold for the show’s fourth season, which premieres on Tuesday night.

It was announced earlier this year that Mary would be returning to the show as a ‘friend’ after sitting out the third season.

She and Meredith were original cast members, but Cosby left the show shortly after she skipped its season two reunion.

Meredith told the publication that she appreciates how Mary can lighten up the sometimes tense situations on set.

Welcome: 'I think she brings a very unusual humor to the show,' Meredith admitted

‘I was really excited to have Mary back because I think she brings a very unusual humor to the show,’ Meredith admitted.

‘I also like that she’s pretty direct and doesn’t really hold her opinions back, so I thought it was great to have her back,’ she added.

Mary has already shown her capacity for making unguarded and even offensive remarks ahead of Season four’s premiere on Tuesday night.

In a trailer for the new season released in August, Mary took the bait when Heather Gay asked if she thought she looked ‘inbred,’ to which Mary replied, ‘I do.’

Interestingly enough, Mary is married to her step-grandfather — they are not blood relations — after her grandmother encouraged her to before her death in 1997.

‘She’s just funny. She makes me laugh,’ Meredith continued about her friend.

Although Mary will be back, it won’t be a complete reunion of the original cast, as former star Jen Shah won’t be around while she continues serving a five-and-a-half year prison sentence.

But Meredith said there’s no ‘heavy void’ where Jen once was.

‘Of course, you’re going to see a shift in energy, but it’s an ensemble, so there are a lot of people contributing and playing their role in it, so to speak,’ she said. ‘There’s a change, but it’s just different.’

The show will also now feature new cast members Monica Garcia and Angie Katsanevas, who was bumped up from previously being a friend, as well as returning stars Heather Gay, Lisa Barlow and Whitney Rose.

Mary reportedly filmed ‘a few scenes’ for the season, Page Six reported in February, with the show starting filming February 13.

One source said that ‘Mary wanted to come back,’ while another explained that Mary’s absence from season three was largely due to the scandalous firing of her former co-star Jennie Nguyen.

Nguyen saw her brief one-season run as a Housewife go up in flames when her racist social media posts mocking the Black Lives Matter movement resurfaced online.

The source explained: ‘Jennie’s racist posts really seemed to shake Mary, especially after Jennie threw a glass at her on camera. Mary was grateful for the time away from the cameras, but she seems ready to get back in the mix.’

‘Here I am!’ Mary said as she walked inside Meredith’s jewelry shop during the start of the season four trailer.

She then tells the camera during her confessional: ‘Somebody rescue me quick!’

After starring in the first two seasons of RHOSLC, the ‘philanthropist and spiritual leader’ — according to her Instagram bio — exited the series under a cloud of controversy.

In addition to sharing her opinion on Mary’s return, Meredith opined on Season four, saying she had ‘mixed emotions’ about the result.

‘You’re optimistic that it’s all going to be fantastic, but you’re also realistic, knowing that that’s kind of impossible,’ she said, adding that season four was a ‘wild ride’ with an ‘unbelievable outcome.’

Although she suggested she managed to keep her cool throughout the season, Meredith also said fans will get to see her occasionally get down and dirty amid the drama.

‘There was so much thrown at me that you will definitely see me engage,’ she declared.
