Queens ‘squatters’ flee in disgrace after being confronted at house where homeowner was arrested – but one ‘legal’ tenant is staying (and wants his deposit back!)

  • Adele Andaloro’s house has become the latest hotspot for squatter disputes
  • She left town today with her family and said, ‘We’re leaving here’
  • A man and a woman left the home while covering their faces
  • Someone who claims he is staying there legally stays – and wants his deposit back

Two of the three ‘squatters’ caught red-handed in a woman’s Queens home fled in disgrace today after confrontations with the media.

The unnamed man and woman covered their faces with hoodies today as they fled their home in Vlissingen, refusing to answer questions on the way out.

The house is owned by Adele Andaloro, a mother who inherited the property from her parents.

Earlier this week, Andaloro was put in handcuffs after a tense standoff at the house.

She showed up and found several squatters refusing to move. Despite owning the house, she was handcuffed and taken away.

She was joined by a man who also shielded his face from the press. They did not answer journalists' questions as they fled

The incident is the latest in a series of conflicts in the US, with homeowners increasingly frustrated by ridiculous laws that protect squatters and penalize the names on the deed.

Andaloro, shocked by her arrest, declined an interview today as she left town with her family.

‘We’re leaving. We’re going out of town,” she said.

Before leaving her home, she said the whole saga was “crazy.”

DailyMail.com spoke to neighbors who say they not only witnessed squatters living in the house, but also carrying out construction work.

Some were seen bringing in doors and walking around furniture, they said.

Kevin Balletsy, one of the men who lives in the house, insists he is doing this legally.

He told DailyMail.com that he now wants his deposit back – and then he too will flee.

“I have no idea what’s going on here with this nonsense. I’m trying to get my money back and get out of here. I have nothing to do with this.

“I have receipts that show I paid the landlord and the property, except I’m not part of it.

“I wash my hands of this and I’m out,” he said.
