Popular Kikuyu Musician Ann Kariuki Talks About Her Pain Of Being Bedridden For 18 Years

If you are a fan of Kikuyu gospel music you must have come across Ann Kariuki at some point. She is a renown Kikuyu gospel musician who has been in pain for the past eighteen years which leaves her with a painful tale to tell.

Her pain strated in 2005 after she swallowed a fish bone which affected her throat to a point she lost her voice. She didn’t talk for close to six years which really made her go through a lot of pain. Later one days she just felt that she could speak and her voice was coming back slowly until after some months and she could talk again.

In 2006 she was also involved In road accident which left her paralysed for the past 18 years on his lower body. This was after her spine cord was badly injured and she has gone to India and back but nothing is yet to change.

During the 2006 accident her sleep nerve was also affected and It moved to the conscious side instead of the subconscious hemisphere. From that time up to date she has never slept since it is always active and doctors said that was beyond medical knowledge.

She said she can’t even remember how someone sleeps since to her sleeping is only closing of the eyes but she is always active. She believes that one day God will help her walk again as well as regaining her sleep.
