Congratulatory messages are outpouring to the newlywed –Muranga Woman Representative Betty Maina and Mathira MP Eric Mwangi Wamumbi.
The lovebirds tied the knot in a colourful traditional wedding held in Kigumo, Murang’a County on Saturday, November 18, 2023.
The beautiful event was graced by guests from all walks of life and high-profile politicians including President William Ruto and Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua among other leaders.
The bride wore a red-maroon custom-made African attire complete with Kikuyu traditional jewellery. On the other hand, the groom wore white pants and a brown shirt.

The bridal team also wore modernised Kikuyu traditional attire.
As previously reported the two first-term MPs made their romance public in 2022 during Eric Mwangi’s 35th birthday.
The lawmakers took to social media to profess their love for each other, with Eric hinting to his followers that the birthday event was a surprise organized by his lover Betty.
