Nikki Haley claims Trump’s tax plans will cost Americans $2,600 a year: Donald’s final rival says new 10% tariffs will hit families hard after inflation under Biden

Nikki Haley blasted former President Donald Trump for supporting a trade and tariff plan that she claims will cost Americans thousands of dollars a year.

The former president has been outspoken about his idea to impose a blanket 10 percent tariff on all imported goods.

In addition to the 10 percent tariff, Trump has privately discussed imposing a massive 60 percent tariff on all imports from China. The Washington Post first reported this.

“What Donald Trump is going to do is he’s going to increase the spending of every household by $2,600 a year,” Haley told CNBC. She cited a figure from the National Taxpayers Union.

“This is a man who now wants to implement 10 percent tariffs across the board, raising taxes on every American. Think about that for a minute,” Haley added.

“Under Donald Trump, the cost of everything from strollers to appliances will rise,” she continued. “Middle-class families can’t afford that.”
