Nicole Scherzinger stunned in a sheer top before changing into a mesh dress during her latest cover shoot for The Glossary.

The 45-year-old singer spoke exclusively to the magazine as she discussed 'battling her insecurities' and reinventing herself as she stars on Sunset Boulevard's West End.

In the publication's latest cover story, Nicole explains how, after rising to fame in girl group and dance ensemble The Pussycat Dolls in 2003, she is now “more authentic.”

Posing for a selection of incredible photos, she wore a sophisticated black blouse with a satin bustier and floral appliqué.

She then changed into a glamorous floor-length dress, complete with a thigh-high leg slit and a sheer collar.

Nicole is currently dazzling audiences with her portrayal of Norma Desmond in Andrew Lloyd Webber's iconic musical at the Savoy Theatre.

It tells the story of silent film star Norma, who dreams of making a comeback and enlists the help of a struggling screenwriter.

Reflecting on her beginnings in The Pussycat Dolls in the accompanying interview, she began, “At that time it was about women wanting to be attractive and sexy to please other people, to please men.

'The biggest difference today is that what's really sexy is women who want to please themselves. Women who want to be sexy for themselves. So I think we've come a long way.”

She has since built a successful solo career and recently hinted that she is working on a new album, due out next year.

Adding her new material, she explained, “It's the most honest, courageous, and authentic experience I've ever had in music. The songs are very anthemic.

“I'm battling a lot of my own demons and insecurities, so it's essential for me that all my music has an edge.”

Nicole explained how she continually “reinvented” herself to be “brave and courageous,” which was one of the reasons she took on the character of Norma.

“That's what I do on this show. All my fears, all my insecurities, all my emotions, every part of me is laid bare,” the singer continued.

“That's what you need to reinvent yourself: the courage to show people who you really are.”

Critics praised: 'Nicole dazzles', 'Scherzinger delivers an absolutely bloody punch' and simply 'Perfection!' and last month Nicole broke down in tears when she was awarded Best Musical Performance at the Evening Standard Theater Awards.

The star couldn't contain her emotions as she took to the stage at London's chic Claridge's Hotel to accept the honor for her spectacular performance in West End Musical Sunset Boulevard.

For the award, she competed against Kyle Ramar Freeman of A Strange Loop, Charlie Stemp of Crazy For You and Marisha Wallace of Guys & Dolls.

Nicole felt good as she revealed that her role as Norma Desmond in the atmospheric musical had helped her 'be accepted by the London theater community.'

Her new role marked her return to the stage, eight years after she was nominated for an Olivier Award for her portrayal of Grizabella in Cats.
