Married at First Sight besties Lucinda Light and Andrea Thompson discuss exciting new project together

Married at First Sight stars Lucinda Light and Andrea Thompson signed on to be partners on the reality show, but instead walked away with a lifelong best friend.

Andrea, 51, left the series after calling time on her romance with Richard Sauerman, while Lucinda, 43, and Timothy Smith also ended their relationship in the final days of the show.

In an interview with New idea, the pair offered insight into their blossoming friendship.

“I went into the show looking for love and walked out with the love of my life in Lucinda,” Andrea said.

Lucinda added that the pair are “communicators” and consider themselves part of “the same tribe.”

‘We loved each other from the beginning and had each other’s backs. We chat a few times a week. Andi is one of life’s unexpected treasures.’

The close friends then discussed future plans, including the hope of having their own television show.

“We’re talking about some things we can do together,” Andrea revealed.

‘Something designer and fancy. Styling?’ she suggested.

“That would be right up Andi’s alley!” Lucinda added.

Project discussions are currently being conducted via FaceTime following Lucinda’s recent move to Victoria, while Andrea lives in Queensland.

Lucinda announced on Instagram earlier this month that she had packed up her Byron Bay home.

‘After almost four blissful years in the divine paradise of Byron Bay, I said goodbye and traveled back to my roots in Victoria. My car and I, overcrowded and packed to the rafters, from floor to ceiling, embarked on a road trip full of loved ones,” she captioned the post.

“Every hug helped soothe the emotional aftermath of the wild experiment I did there,” she added.
