If you are a fan of Kikuyu gospel music you must have come across Esther Githinji at some point. She was a popular Kikuyu gospel musician who became famous through her popular song “Ndirira githithi ukenete” but unfortunately she died leaving behind children.
Some hours ago her mother was live seeking help from Kenyans saying she is living with the children and they are living in objective poverty. She said their father Kamau Ebenezer who is also a Kikuyu gospel musician neglected them. Kenyans were all over attacking the man who come out and explained everything.
According to Kamau Ebenezer, he met Esther Githinji some years back and they decided to start life together since both were from broken marriages. Esther has two children while Kamau had four children and they decided to raise them together what happened. They vowed that the kids should be raised as one without discrimination which Kamau lives with to date.
After Esther died Kamau took the role of raising the kids single handedly and the smaller girl was to live with the grandmother because she was very young and he has been paying school fees for her till to date. He showed the M-pesa message showing he paid the school fees on Monday and she went back to her grandmother home on Sunday after spending the holiday at his home.
He has been educating the elder girl who became pregnant while in college and she had to drop out to give birth first. They made a resolution as a family that she was to live with her grandmother for sometime until she will give birth and from there they will know the way forward. She gave birth last week and he was not even allowed to see the child which left him wondering since the girl had called him one week ago and they talked very well.
He was shocked to see the mother on media saying she is raising the two children after the father Neglected them and he was in disbelief. He is also raising Esther’s sister daughter and he therefore posed the question how she can be raising her late wife sister’s children and neglect his wife’s children.
