The Vampire Diaries star Kat Graham, 33, has split from her director fiancé Darren Genet, 53, just months into their engagement.
Kat made the announcement Wednesday, revealing that the breakup occurred months prior and sparing a few warm words for her ex.
‘Hey everyone. After many years together, Darren and I have chosen to no longer be together,’ the actress wrote on Twitter.
‘The engagement ended a few months ago. He’s a great guy and we wish each other nothing but the most happy and beautiful life.’
Darren and Kat first struck up their romance in 2017, and early last year during his birthday trip to Mexico she accepted his proposal of marriage.

Darren worked as a cinematographer on 36 episodes of The Vampire Diaries, and People has reported that he and Kat first became acquainted on the show.
Despite being together for years, both Kat and Darren were assiduously private about their relationship, allowing precious little information to go public.
However when news broke of their engagement, an insider effervesced: ‘Kat is madly in love and couldn’t be happier.’
