While celebrating his 15 years anniversary of being in the music industry, gospel artist Dennis Karanja Kariuki alias Denno revealed that there is a time he thought of joining secular.
He said that the reason why he wanted to make that decision is how much the likes of Nyashinski get paid and the togetherness that is there among the artists.
According to him, if he released a secular song it would have trended more than the song “Mbona” that made him famous.
When his wife Faith Naliaka was asked to reveal what she thought of Denno’s interest in secular, she said that she felt really bad because it’s like he was losing his focus on what he is supposed to do.
That she always wanted to be with someone who is focused on only serving God so she could not let Denno be swayed by things that are not of the gospel. She said that she was happy he did not argue when she told him not to change his direction.
Denno said that the gospel industry seems to be dead now but God is going to revive it.
