A 13-year-old girl died after an accident involving her e-scooter and a car in Perth’s northern suburbs last week.

The accident happened on March 28 at around 2pm on the Wanneroo Rd main road in Wanneroo.

The girl was rushed to Perth Children’s Hospital with life-threatening injuries.

On Thursday, WA Police said in a statement that the teenager had died in hospital.

“The investigation continues by the Major Crash Investigation Section,” the statement said.

CCTV footage shows the girl crossing the road as a white 4WD approaches.

The driver of the car was not injured.

Meanwhile, a 12-year-old boy is in critical condition after being hit by a car while running along a regional road the same day.

He was hit by a Toyota Prado on Caves Rd, Marybrook, about 5.40pm.

The boy was flown to Perth Children’s Hospital where he remains in a critical condition.
