Homes Under The Hammer icon Lucy Alexander has discussed whether she will return to the hit daytime show as it celebrates twenty years on air.
Lucy first appeared on screens in 2003 alongside former co-star Martin Roberts and remained on the show for 13 years.
After her impressive performance on the show, the real estate presenter stepped down in 2016, saying that wanting to do other projects was a deciding factor in her departure.
The 53-year-old presenter is regularly seen in reruns of the show and was also briefly seen during the programme’s 20th anniversary.
In an interview with The sunLucy said she would ‘never say never’ to a comeback.

While she didn’t vehemently reject the idea of returning to the show, Lucy insisted there were no discussions about her return.
More recently, Lucy landed a regular role in Channel 4’s A Place in the Sun, as well as a spin-off series, amid a shake-up among presenters.
The property expert first appeared as a guest on Channel 4’s overseas rival show last year, but she is now said to have been signed on permanently.
As she reminisced about her 13-year stint on the BBC-owned show, Lucy revealed she had ‘quite a good time’ filming for the sunny seaside rival.
She added: ‘There’s always a place in my heart for Homes Under The Hammer because I started on that show and I was (in) the first episode that came out with Martin.
‘We did it together for 13 years, so yes, it has a special place in my heart because I love real estate and old and abandoned buildings.
“So in the end I would always think about going back!”
The presenter described the daytime show as a ‘huge part’ of her life and ‘fantastic to do’ and revealed how much she missed the BBC programme.
Lucy now flies around the world at least once a month to film sunny series A Place In The Sun, in a bid to find Brits their dream home abroad.

“I’ve got quite a few episodes planned this year, I’m definitely part of the family and that’s been wonderful!” Lucy told The sun on Wednesday.
The presenter has also been picked up for a spin-off of the program, called What Happened Next.
What Happened Next debuted in 2023 and looked at families and couples who found their dream home abroad to see how they fared in the years that followed.
Lucy revealed that when her ‘beautiful’ couple bought their dream spot in the sun, she will now go back out to visit them again and see how they are doing.
She said she really enjoys traveling the world for work, and admitted the show is much more glamorous than her previous property show in Britain.
“On Hammer it would be a lot more building lots and old, abandoned and disused buildings and pigeon droppings,” she said.
‘There had been no central heating on and the properties would have been empty for years and it was sometimes a danger to walk into them!’
Lucy added that, in stark contrast, A Place in the Sun was filmed on a beautiful beach and all homes have balconies for sunbathing.

‘Getting my winter sun fix. Although it is a bit windy and chilly this morning, the sun is almost out, and that is what I love about southern Spain.’
Behind the scenes there are warm coats ready, lights, cameras, sound and the brilliant crew… they do everything they can to make the magic happen!
It comes after A Place In The Sun viewers were left in tears in February when the show paid a special tribute to presenter Jonnie Irwin following his death at the age of 50.
Jonnie passed away last month after a courageous three-year battle with cancer, following his lung cancer diagnosis in 2020.
The presenter presented the property program from 2004 until 2021, when he was forced to resign due to his terminal cancer diagnosis.
The show, which saw Danni Menzies helping house hunters in Manilva, Spain, was initially dedicated to Jonnie.
The program also aired a tribute after the credits with a photo showing a younger Jonnie on the beach from one of the trips abroad.
It read: ‘In memory of Jonnie Irwin. 1973 – 2004.’
