Food Network star Darnell Ferguson arrested for two felonies – burglary and strangulations – and five misdemeanors including assault

Food Network star Darnell Ferguson has been arrested for multiple serious offenses, including two felonies and five misdemeanors.

The 36-year-old television personality – also known as SuperChef – was booked into the Louisville Metro Jail in Kentucky on Tuesday afternoon TMZ on Wednesday.

He was charged with two felonies: burglary and strangulation, a representative told the publication.

He also faces five felonies, including: assault, threats, criminal mischief, terroristic threats and theft of a stolen credit and debit card.

The site reports that they do not yet know the circumstances of his recent legal troubles, but have launched an investigation with the Louisville Metro PD.

Ferguson is an active personality on the Food Network as he currently hosts SuperChef Grudge Match.

The series pits two chefs against each other who have personal and professional feuds that they settle in “one round, one dish, winner takes all heavyweight fights.”

The star was a mainstay on the network when he co-hosted Worst Cooks In America alongside Anne Burrell, in addition to appearances on Chopped, Supermarket Stakeout, Tiny Food Fight, Guy’s Grocery Games and Tournament Of Champions.

He can also be seen on the network’s social media and has his own presence.

Ferguson has also appeared on HGTV, including Home Town Takeover and The Big Holiday Food Fight.

He formally owned restaurants in Louisville, Kentucky called Super Chefs and That Drippin Crab.

The television personality started cooking in high school, inspired by Emeril Lagasse’s series Emeril Live.

He was even chosen as one of 20 student chefs to cook for Team USA during the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, China.

Ferguson has had previous run-ins with the law, having previously been arrested for selling drugs and serving six prison terms.

However, he turned his life around through cooking and eventually started a television career.
