Fans are joking that Janelle Monáe has surpassed the queen of Halloween, Heidi Klum, this year.
The 37-year-old singer stole the spotlight by dressing up as a chameleon in an incredible full-body transformation costume.
Known for ‘winning Halloween’ with her ensembles, Heidi went like a peacock with a huge entourage to her annual star-studded bash Heidiween this year.
But Janelle is hot on her heels after impressing with her animal-inspired outfit featuring a large suit, tail and prosthetic head.
Those on Twitter have now said she shaded Heidi, as one wrote: “Janelle Monáe is really coming for Heidi Klum for the best Halloween costumes.”

Heidi did not disappoint with her Halloween costume as she made a grand entrance at her 22nd annual Heidiween party, held at the Marquee in New York on Tuesday.
The German supermodel, 50, wore an elaborate peacock costume which was supported by a total of 10 people.
Heidi’s part of the costume consisted of a tight blue velvet bodysuit and a face covering with a yellow beak and an enchanted head. A feather decoration was placed on top of her head.
The catwalk phenomenon – who dressed as a creepy ribbed red worm during last year’s celebrations – stood atop a similarly dressed member of her entourage, forming the bottom half of the dramatic look.
Heidi was also joined by her husband Tom Kaulitz, 34, who was dressed like a big white egg, and daughter Leni Klum, 19, who showed off her incredible figure in a sassy pink outfit.

Behind her, forming the beautiful tail of her costume, stood a number of lithe figures in green bodysuits with peacock eye spots. On their backs were spread wings that matched their green costumes.
While posing for the shutterbugs, the blonde beauty hilariously planted a kiss on her egg man.
It took Heidi six hours and 10 Cirque Du Soleil performers to create her Halloween peacock costume after revealing she wanted to create “something really elaborate” for the season after dressing up as a “minimal kind of earthworm” for her party in 2022.
She told Entertainment Tonight, “Hair and makeup took maybe six hours, but really it was more in the planning, meeting the artists, picking out their costumes and makeup.”
When it came to choosing this year’s extravagant outfit, she was keen to get “several people” involved after making last year’s costume calmer and more static.
She explained, “Just because I was such a minimal kind of earthworm (in 2022), I wanted to make something really elaborate and make a costume with multiple people.
‘I started thinking: what could that be? What kind of thing could that be, what animal, what creature?

‘I was thinking of a peacock, because a peacock has its feathers a little bunched up and then opens up. And I wanted to turn it into an art performance.’
Heidi also posed with her brother-in-law, Bill Kaulitz, 34, who wore a unicorn outfit. Bill also brought along his makeup artist Candy Crash, who went shirtless under a hot pink suit and rocked a blonde curly wig.
Meanwhile, Leni put on a busty display in a pink bra with a strawberry patch and matching pink ruffled underwear. She paired the outfit with a bright pink wig, knee-high striped green and white stockings and a strawberry bag.
She added height to her look with sky-high champagne pink platform heels.
