Eric McCormack’s estranged wife Janet Holden is seen for first time WITHOUT wedding ring – days after filing for divorce amid 26 years of marriage

Will & Grace star Eric McCormack’s wife, Janet Leigh Holden, was spotted without her wedding ring for the first time after filing for divorce after more than 26 years of marriage.

Janet didn’t have a band on her left ring finger on Tuesday as she headed to an auto repair shop in Sherman Oaks, California.

She appeared in good spirits despite filing for divorce from her 60-year-old husband of nearly 30 years as she smiled during the outing in suburban Los Angeles.

Janet certainly seemed in the mood for some escapism, though, as she stuck with bestselling author Chloe Gong’s latest book Immortal Longings, her first-ever adult fantasy epic.

Janet is seeking spousal support and reportedly wants to “end the court’s ability to award spousal support to Eric,” according to the release.

The Canadian actor – known for his role as Will Truman in the hit NBC sitcom – and Janet share one child together: 21-year-old son Finnigan Holden McCormack.

It is unclear whether McCormack and Holden have entered into a prenuptial agreement.

The couple was spotted together this year on July 24, attending the opening night post-party of The Cottage on Broadway in New York City, where they posed for a loved-up photo together.

They also attended the 31st annual Elton John AIDS Foundation Academy Awards viewing party, held at West Hollywood Park in March.

Eric looked dapper in a black tuxedo and bow tie, while Janet stunned in a deep burgundy dress. All seemed well between the couple who held hands as they posed together on the red carpet.

And in 2018, Janet supported the actor as he accepted a star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame. For this special occasion, they were also accompanied by their son.

The duo first met in 1994 on the set of the Lonesome Dove TV show in Canada, on which he starred and she was an assistant director.

‘I met my wife, Janet, in 1994 on the set of a TV series. She was deputy director. I just got out of a relationship and couldn’t be trusted. I dated actresses, but Janet was different. She was wearing jeans and driving a pickup truck,” he said The guard about the beginning of their romance in 2007.

“There was a bit of mystery and danger, which was fun,” Holden previously said People.

After falling in love, they kept their romance a secret for a while.

‘At first she wasn’t that enthusiastic. She knew that acting is a lot of work: it would be like taking your work home with you. But I managed to convince her,” he said.

‘The first season we had a secret affair. I mean, dating crew! Actually, it was much worse for her because she wasn’t supposed to give any of the actors preferential treatment.’

However, after she moved on to another role after the first season, they made their romance public and appeared together at the 1995 wrap party.

The couple married on August 3, 1997 and welcomed Finnigan on July 1, 2002.

Five months after they said yes, McCormack landed the role of his iconic TV character on Will & Grace.

Eric previously shared that getting married helped him navigate the new heights of fame better than if he had been younger and single.

‘I think I was very lucky that I didn’t become famous until I was around thirty. If it had happened when I was younger, you might have seen me falling out of nightclubs,” he said The guard.

“I think I acted like a much better person because I was already married when all that happened (I got married five months after I got the role of Will).”
