Moore was released from the hospital on Friday after he found himself shaking involuntarily on the ground before being ruled out of Thursday night’s win over the Jets with a concussion.

Moore appeared to hit the ground face down after being tackled by CJ Mosely andAs cameras placed him on his back, his arms and hands appeared to jerk frighteningly into the air.

Omalu – the inspiration behind the Will Smith film “Concussion” – told TMZ he would advise the Browns WR to retire.

“That’s my recommendation,” he said. “He had a seizure… a seizure is a manifestation of brain damage, brain injury… that’s permanent damage.”

Moore has been entered into the NFL’s concussion protocol and Omalu said if the 23-year-old chooses not to retire, he will at least miss the remainder of the season.

The Browns are primed for a run to the Super Bowl, but the doctor believes Moore will need to sit out at least three months of action.

“Given what I saw in that video, he should be on the bench for the rest of the season,” Omalu added. “For at least three months.”

Thursday’s 37-20 victory, led by quarterback Joe Flacco, secured the Browns a spot in the playoffs.

Earlier in the evening, Moore caught an eight-yard touchdown. He has collected 59 receptions for 640 yards and two touchdowns this season.

The team still has 10 days before the last game of the regular season, on the road to the Cincinnati Bengals. The Wild Card round of the playoffs begins on January 13.
