Asher Keddie is returning to screens in a new Amazon Original miniseries opposite Aliens icon Sigourney Weaver.

The Offspring star, 48, is appearing in The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart, which is based on a 2018 novel by Australian author Holly Ringland.

Keddie revealed on Sunday that she was thrilled to be appearing in a production based on one of her favourite novels, alongside Weaver and Leah Purcell.

‘There are a lot of surprises in there, so many secrets and much that’s hidden when we first meet all the characters, including mine,’ she told Perth Now.

‘Filming was a really thoughtful process and despite the very difficult themes that we explored… there was hope and joy in the story.’

The gripping series was filmed in a century old home in the Hunter Region of New South Wales and follows a young girl living on a rural flower farm.

The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart is available to stream on Amazon Prime from Friday, August 4. 

While Keddie has been on Aussie TV screens for over 35 years she finally got her big Hollywood break last year in the Amazon series Nine Perfect Strangers.

Asher stars in the drama alongside Nicole Kidman, Melissa McCarthy and Luke Evans.

The acclaimed actress has been acting since she was 11, first appearing in western television drama series Five Mile Creek, which also starred Kidman.

She went on to star in several Australian TV series and movies, but received wide recognition for her roles in the critically acclaimed shows Love My Way and Offspring.

Keddie has been married to Melbourne artist Vincent Fantauzzo since 2014 and shares two sons with him, Valentino and Luca.
