Giants star left tackle Andrew Thomas got his mammoth payday to protect Daniel Jones’ blindside for the foreseeable future, the team announced on Wednesday.

Thomas’ extension runs for five years and is worth $117.5 million, including $67 million guaranteed at signing, a record for a left tackle.

This comes just 24 hours after the Giants announced Saquon Barkley would be returning to the Giants on a one-year $10.1 million contract, with an additional $900,000 that can be earned through incentives.

The Giants also dished out a hefty sum for Daniel Jones, making him the 12th highest-paid quarterback in the NFL after he agreed to a four-year, $160 million deal.

Thomas’ contract protects that Jones commitment.

Thomas was the fourth highest-rated tackle in the NFL last season, according to Pro Football Focus.

The Thomas-Jones duo should set the Giants offense in motion for years to come as head coach Brian Daboll looks to continue their development.

Their offense was ranked 22nd in yards per play in 2022, with 5.2 yards per play on average.
