Amanda Holden turns heads in a vibrant red dress as she leaves Heart FM – after admitting to a brush with the notorious Strictly curse while dancing with ex-pro Pasha Kovalev

Amanda Holden commanded attention in a figure hugging midi dress as she departed Heart FM studio on Wednesday morning – after admitting to a brush with the Strictly Come Dancing curse while filming a new documentary.

The Britain’s Got Talent judge, 52, looked incredible in the long sleeved button front number which she cinched in at the waist with a thin tan belt.

Amanda elevated her frame in a pair of towering coordinated pointed toe heels and toted her belongings in a matching clutch.

She accessorized her daytime ensemble with a pair of chunky black sunglasses and a simple gold pendant necklace.

Amanda danced with Pasha Kovalev on her documentary series Sex: A Bonkers History and admits she understands the Strictly curse as a result of the experience.

She performed the Tudor dance The Volta which was seen as scandalous at the time due to allowing unmarried people to touch on the dance floor.

She said: ‘You weren’t even allowed to hold hands and then being allowed to be that intimate, it was weird having that moment with Pasha.

‘I felt the feeling just in that afternoon, so I can’t imagine how people felt touching like that centuries ago.

‘But Pasha, he was so patient. It really took me ages to learn that step, hop and kick.’

It comes as Amanda revealed despite trying to detox she still enjoys an Aperol Spritz once a day.

The TV star spoke exclusively to MailOnline about her healthy lifestyle and how she keeps herself looking so incredible.

Amanda, who is a vegetarian, also opened up about her healthy diet, but admitted she is trying to ‘detox’ to stop eating cheese and having alcohol after kicking back over the summer.

She told how she ‘loves a massive glass of wine’ and joked that she has an ‘Aperol spritz’ a day as she gave an insight into her love of a nice beverage.

‘I basically have an Aperol spritz a day… I am trying to detox now but I have a glass of champagne in my hand,’ she told MailOnline.

‘I am a vegetarian, so I feel I am accidentally healthy, but I love a massive glass of wine. I’m trying to do a detox which just involves not eating cheese everyday like I do in the summer, and I just don’t drink every day like I do in the summer.

‘I promise you it’s as human as that. Unless you need to for health reasons, I’m not a big advocate of cutting out sugars and fats.

‘After lockdown we have all been told what to do so much and put so many restrictions on ourselves, and in life we are so restricted and have to mind what we say and do all the time so take your pleasure where you can get it and if that’s in a bottle of rosĂ© then do it. You can take your vitamin B with a glass of red, you can.’

She added: ‘I am a huge fan of Victoria Beckham, and she always looks super sexy, but I also happen to know she loves a good red wine. She might be eating steamed fish, but she is knocking back the wine!’

Amanda also reveal she can’t stand going the gym and said ‘getting out of the house for half an hour’ even for a powerwalk really works wonders for her mental health.

Speaking of her fitness regime, she went on: ‘I used to do a lot of yoga, which I have completely neglected because of my schedule so I need to bring that back in, I used to have a personal trainer, which again went out the window so the thing I can achieve easily is run’.

‘I run for my mental health and that’s it because that’s 36 minutes of my 24-hour day that I get to be on my own, I get to think, listen to the music I want to listen to, and I get a bit of fresh air,’ she added.

Amanda looked nothing short of sensational in the figure-hugging leather frock she wore on Tuesday which boasted a racy split and teased a glimpse of her toned thighs.

She added extra height to her frame into a pair of matching black heels and shielded her eyes behind a pair of oversized shades.

The series, on Sky History, starts on September 18 at 9pm.
