Big Jook, the brother of rapper Yo Gotti, lost his life in a gunshot that happened outside a Memphis restaurant on Saturday, January 13. According to a number of sources, investigators think this was a targeted strike.

Two men were reportedly shot at 4:15 p.m. outside Perignons Restaurant & Event Center, according to reports to the police. Anthony “Big Jook” Mims was one of them; he was brought to St. Francis Hospital.

He was declared deceased here, according to Fox 13. Another individual was evacuated to Regional One Health in Memphis in critical condition after being taken to the hospital in a private vehicle.

Paul Wright, the chief of deputy police in Memphis, stated that the two people shot were there for a repast service at the restaurant. Yo Gotti’s elder brother Big Jook was said to have been in the region earlier in the day to attend a relative’s funeral, according to TMZ.

No suspects have been located or taken into custody. During a press conference, Wright stated, “We do feel that the individual that was shot was possibly targeted by the suspect.”

Yo Gotti may or may not have been with his brother at the time of the shooting. He hasn’t discussed the incident in public.

Big Jook used his Instagram account to promote his brother’s musical business, CMG the business, also referred to as the Collective Media Group.

As Lil Yo, Yo Gotti entered the rap scene. Youngsta’s On a Come Up, his 1996 first album, was the product of Mario Sentell Giden Mims, in real life. Later on, he adopted Yo Gotti as his stage name.

Yo Gotti is a multiple-time nominee for BET Hip Hop awards, including Album of the Year for 2014’s “I Am.” Additionally, he appears on songs featuring Kanye West, Lil Uzi Vert, and Nicki Minaj.
