Jessica Simpson and sister Ashlee enjoy Beetlejuice Beetlejuice with daughters Maxwell and Jagger

Jessica Simpson and her sister Ashlee Simpson went on a mother-daughter film tour together.

“BETTLEJUICERS,” Jessica wrote in the caption to her approximately 6.3 million followers, referencing the hit film Beetlejuice Beetlejuice which was once again the top movie at the weekend librarian.

Jessica also has an 11-year-old son, Ace, and a 5-year-old daughter, Birdie, with her husband Eric Johnson, 45.

Ashlee shares a three-year-old son Ziggy with Jagger, 36, with Evan Ross. She also has a 15-year-old son Bronx with ex-husband Pete Wentz, 45.

Jessica, who shared rare snapshots of all three of her children earlier this month, admitted in 2019 that she had lost 100 pounds, nearly six months after the birth of her third daughter, Birdie.

She followed a diet plan and walked 14,000 steps a day with the help of celebrity trainer Harley Pasternak, and has since shared updates from the gym about how she’s maintained her weight loss over the years.

“6 months. Lost 100 pounds (yes I lost 240 pounds),” she wrote on Instagram when revealing her weight loss.

‘My first trip away from #BIRDIEMAE and emotional for many reasons but so proud to feel like myself again. Even when it seemed impossible I chose to work harder.’

In September 2022, Jessica said she’s happy to “monetize” rumors about her fluctuating weight.

The star admitted that there has been speculation about her weight for years and that it was one of the reasons why she decided to launch her own fashion line: The Jessica Simpson Collection.

The singer told Extra: “I decided, ‘Okay, everyone’s going to be talking about my weight all the time, so I might as well monetize it and turn it into a business where I sell clothes and acceptance.’”

Meanwhile, Jessica revealed in her memoir Open Book that she quit drinking in 2017, posting a photo on Instagram of herself while still addicted.

The unflattering photo showed the blonde beauty looking nothing like herself, wearing a pink tracksuit and sitting in a dark room.

In the original caption, Simpson wrote: “This person in the early morning of November 1, 2017 is an unrecognizable version of myself.”

She continued, “I had so much self-discovery to unlock and explore. I knew in this moment that I would allow myself to take back my light, manifest victory over my internal struggle for self-esteem, and face this world with piercing clarity.”

‘Personally, I had to stop drinking alcohol to do this because it made my mind and heart go in the same direction and honestly I was exhausted. I wanted to feel the pain so I could wear it as a badge of honor.’

Simpson continues, “I wanted to live as a leader and break the cycle of moving forward. I never wanted to look back with regret or remorse on the choices I made and the ones I would make for the rest of my life in this beautiful world.”

“I can’t believe it’s been 4 years already! It feels like maybe 2. I guess that’s a good thing. Ha. There’s so much stigma around the word alcoholism or the label of an alcoholic. The real work that needed to be done in my life was to actually accept failure, pain, brokenness, and self-sabotage.”

“The drinking wasn’t the problem. It was me. I didn’t like myself. I didn’t respect my own strength. Today I do.”

“I’ve made amends with the fears and accepted the parts of my life that are just sad. I own my personal power with soulful courage. I am wildly honest and comfortably open. I am free.”
