James Bond candidates Aaron-Taylor Johnson and Theo James joined forces on Sunday to film dramatic action scenes for their new movie Fuze in a Kent quarry.
Both actors are reportedly set to take on the iconic 007 role, replacing Daniel Craig. The Sun even reported that Aaron, 34, “has been officially offered the job.”
On the set of Theo, 39, his hand was tied behind his back while his character was held hostage in the back of a truck.
Covered in dust and dirt, he was apparently rescued by Aaron’s soldier, who was dressed in camouflage fatigues and carrying a rifle.
In one scene, bullets were fired, causing a stunt team to flip a vehicle onto its roof.

Both actors are tipped to take on the iconic 007 role, taking over from Daniel Craig, with The Sun even reporting that Aaron, 34, ‘has been officially offered the job’.

The film also stars Gugu Mbatha-Raw and Australian actor Sam Worthington.
The official synopsis reads: ‘After an unexploded World War II bomb is found on a London construction site, the chaos of the ensuing evacuation and defusal of the bomb provides excellent cover for a nearby bank robbery.’
Despite the rumours, insiders have denied reports that Aaron has been cast as the new Bond in the 007 films, causing much speculation.
Responding to rumours earlier this year that he could step into the shoes of Bond, Aaron played it coy, telling Numero: ‘I think it’s charming and great that people see me in that role. I take it as a huge compliment.’
Meanwhile, Theo, who is of Greek descent, is one of at least twenty established names linked with the role of James Bond.
He responded to the rumors and said: The guard: ‘Everyone is interested in [Bond] because it’s a big part of British cultural identity, but I probably wouldn’t be.
“I think there are better people for that job. And honestly, it would be terrifying: if you do that, there’s no going back. You’re opening Pandora’s box.
‘You have to be prepared to live a completely different life and have a different life for your family. And that would be quite difficult. Plus, my mates would drive me absolutely crazy. Because they always say: “Bondopoulos – the Greek Union.”‘

James also ranked 18th in a recent poll commissioned by Lottoland of 2,000 British Bond fans
Topping the list is Luther star Idris Elba, but Tom Hardy, Henry Cavill and Oscar gold gong winner Cillian Murphy also made the list of 20 actors.
The long-running Bond franchise is known for turning its secret agent players into global superstars.
And the film isn’t stingy with casting unknown stars in the roles; the late Sean Connery, one of the best-known Bonds, had only appeared in a few TV movies before accepting the role of the British spy in 1962’s Dr. No, which brought him international fame.
While Elba was the first choice, fans may be disappointed after the actor ruled himself out of the role last year so he could focus on his deal with Netflix, where he stars in Luther: The Fallen Sun.
The actor addressed the ongoing discussions about him taking over the role of Ian Fleming’s famed British spy in February 2023.
When asked about the Luther film at the World Government Summit in Dubai, he said: “It’s very dark.
‘We have been working on the television series for about 10 years and it is therefore a logical ambition to bring the series to the big screen. That is why we are now making the first film.
“You know, a lot of people talk about another character that starts with a J and ends with a B, but I’m not going to be that person.
“I’m going to be John Luther. That’s who I am.”
In August 2022, it was reported that Elba had taken on the famed role after “years of discussions” with film executives.
He was the bookies’ favourite to replace Daniel Craig as super spy, but he is keen to play other roles, even submitting a list of suggested actors for the role of 007 to producer Barbara Broccoli.
