State House Denies Reports Of Ruto Using One Woman To Launch Multiple Projects

His response came after several Kenyans had called out the Head of State over what they termed as the recycling of faces to fool them during the different project launches.

State House Spokesperson Hussein Mohamed on Monday, August 19 outrightly denied claims that President William Ruto featured one woman in the launch of different projects across the country.

His response came after several Kenyans had called out the Head of State over what they termed as the recycling of faces to fool them during the different project launches.

However, Mohamed took to X to clarify that the identities of the women featured during the launches were different, dismissing claims made by an X account that had claimed otherwise, providing photo evidence of the women whom the President met and even shared a cup of tea with at their houses.

“Do not mislead Kenyans Dictator Watch (an X account) and others. It’s not true that the same woman was at different locations of the President’s development tours. Here are the facts,” Mohamed began.

The former journalist revealed that in Kisii County, President Ruto in Bonchari Constituency, met the family of William and Ruth Moraa on August 13, the latter whose face had gone viral, after the Rural Electrification and Renewable Energy Corporation (REREC) upgraded their posho mill by installing an electric motor.

On the day of the visit, two photos were taken of the Head of State having breakfast with the couple and then inspecting the posho mill.

“Same homestead; different photos; having breakfast, Mama Moraa’s posho meal & family photo. She was not in Embu,” Mohamed addressed.

In Embu, on August 7, the spokesperson revealed that President Ruto visited the family of Mama Lydia during the commissioning of the Last Mile Projects in Mbeere North at Cianthia village.

“The project serves 171 households, Cianthia Primary School, and Cianthia Secondary School. See photos below,” he added, urging netizens to desist from spreading misinformation.

Dictator Watch, the X account, alongside other users on X, had accused the Head of State of recycling the same faces at events as well as failing to launch sustainable projects.

A section of Kenyans, as a result, mocked Ruto by launching their nondescript items with intent for banter towards the Head of State, with one individual launching his dinner plate among others.

During his tour of Embu County on August 7, President Ruto launched various irrigation projects, with Principal Secretary of the State Department for Irrigation, Ephantus Kimotho, highlighting that the government invested Ksh3.49 billion on irrigation projects in Embu County.

Five were reported to be complete, putting 5,300 acres under irrigation and 10 (ongoing) with the potential to put 3,906 acres under irrigation.
