Award-winning performing artiste and humanitarian Henry Ohanga widely known as Octopizzo postpones his album release in solidarity with the Nane Nane protesters.
In a statement shared on X, Octopizzo notified his fans that he had put his anticipated album release on hold.
The rapper further lamented how the county government took time to contain the massive inferno that razed down Toi Market in Kibera claiming lives and destruction of properties.
He added that it would be ironic for the government to use water gangsters to disperse peaceful protesters.
“Maji ya Kuzima Toi Market ilikosa for hours! Acha tuone kesho kama maji itakosa kwa ile gender reveal truck hao utuchapa Nayo#NaneNane. Album release on hold till further notice.,”Octopizzo revealed.
Namba Nane’s finest was scheduled to release his 8th studio album on Thursday, August 8, 2024.

Nane Nane demos
A section of Kenyan youths has vowed to proceed with the much-hyped Nane Nane protests despite the call off.
The protesters have termed it as their final attempt to liberate the country from the claws of the Kenya Kwanza regime.
Led by the revolutionary artiste Kasmuel McOure, during a press address in Nairobi on August 7, they declared that the August 8th mega-protest, now christened ‘Nane Nane,’ will be the mother of all demonstrations in recent times.
“Tomorrow is a forward march in our annals of history, Nane Nane is going to be our final day in the streets. We want to live in a country that gives us land; we want to live in a country that educates us; we want to live in a country where children who will not die from natural diseases will go to the streets because the Kenya Kwanza regime has taken everything we had. We have elucidated very well what our demands have been,” McOure said.
Police warning
On August 7, 2024, the acting Inspector General of the National Police Service (IG) Gilbert Masengeli cautioned the public about criminals planning to infiltrate the Nane Nane demonstrations.
Speaking during a press briefing, Masengeli said that the infiltrators are planning to take advantage of the demos and commit further c****s.
“In anticipation, we have ensured adequate deployment of security personnel,” Masengeli said.
