Job Title: Restaurant Attendant
Department: School of Tourism and Hospitality (STH)
Reporting to: Restaurant Supervisor
Basic job summary:
The Job holder will be responsible for assisting the waiters/waitresses at the service area and
ensuring that the restaurant is in order and tidy at all times.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Prepare the restaurant for daily operations and ensure its stocked with supplies
- Take orders and serve customers
- Remove plates and crockery that may be left on the tables by customers
- Clear tables and counters after customers have finished
- Clean the restaurant as needed
- Thoroughly clean the restaurant, service line and fridges on weekly basis
- The post holder will carry out any other duties as are within the scope, spirit and purpose
of the job as requested by the restaurant supervisor.
Minimum Academic Qualifications:
Certificate in Housekeeping Course or a related course from a recognized institution
Experience:
At least 2 years work experience in a similar role
