Authorities have cautioned the public to avoid approaching a suspect linked to the murder of a London bus driver stabbing this week.
Derek Neil Thomas, aged 53, was fatally stabbed on Northwold Road in Hackney while heading home from work around 11pm on Tuesday.

Police have identified Kamar Williams, a 33-year-old from the Isle of Dogs, as a person of interest in stabbing. They urge anyone who spots him to dial 999 immediately.
A 30-year-old woman was apprehended yesterday on suspicion of aiding an offender.
Reports indicate Mr Thomas, a resident of Stoke Newington, had just finished his shift operating the 106 bus when he was stabbed in the chest.
Employees at the Northumberland Park garage in Tottenham remembered him as a ‘true gentleman.’
Tom Joyner, Managing Director of Go-Ahead London, shared a message seen by MyLondon: ‘I am deeply saddened to inform you that last night, one of our colleagues – driver Derek Thomas – was fatally injured in an isolated incident in Stoke Newington, London.
‘I can confirm this incident did not happen while the driver was on duty. I want to assure all of you that your safety is our utmost priority – whether at our garages, on our buses, or travelling to and from work.
‘We are cooperating with the Metropolitan Police to understand the circumstances of this tragic event. At this moment, due to the ongoing police investigation, I cannot provide further details about the incident.
‘Our thoughts are with our colleague’s family, and we will offer them – and all of you – the necessary support during this challenging time.’
Detective Chief Superintendent James Conway addressed the public: ‘I understand the shock and concern this incident will cause, especially following the recent tragic murder of Pharrell Garcia last week.
‘I want to reassure everyone that a team of skilled detectives is working diligently to identify those responsible for this violent act.
‘Our immediate thoughts are with the family and friends of the man killed last night.’
