To operate agency vehicles, ensuring safe and efficient transport for authorized personnel and the completion of other assigned tasks as directed.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform routine vehicle checks, including cooling, oil, electrical, brake systems, and tire pressure.
- Identify and promptly report any vehicle issues; ensure cleanliness of the vehicle.
- Drive the vehicle for official duties, ensuring the safe transport of passengers and goods.
- Maintain the security and safety of the vehicle, passengers, and cargo both on and off the road.
- Record daily vehicle logs and journey details as required.
- Schedule and ensure routine maintenance and servicing of vehicles.
- Report any accidents immediately and manage the acquisition of police reports and necessary documentation.
- Conduct daily inspections and keep updated inspection records.
- Undertake additional duties as reasonably assigned, aligned with the responsibilities of this role.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
- Education: Minimum of a Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) with a mean grade of ‘C-’ (C minus) or equivalent.
- Experience: At least three (3) years of relevant driving experience.
- License: Valid Class BCE Driving License with no endorsements.
- Certification: Occupational Trade Test Grade III for drivers.
- Compliance: Must meet the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution.
