KenTrade Is Hiring Driver – Nairobi

To operate agency vehicles, ensuring safe and efficient transport for authorized personnel and the completion of other assigned tasks as directed.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Perform routine vehicle checks, including cooling, oil, electrical, brake systems, and tire pressure.
  2. Identify and promptly report any vehicle issues; ensure cleanliness of the vehicle.
  3. Drive the vehicle for official duties, ensuring the safe transport of passengers and goods.
  4. Maintain the security and safety of the vehicle, passengers, and cargo both on and off the road.
  5. Record daily vehicle logs and journey details as required.
  6. Schedule and ensure routine maintenance and servicing of vehicles.
  7. Report any accidents immediately and manage the acquisition of police reports and necessary documentation.
  8. Conduct daily inspections and keep updated inspection records.
  9. Undertake additional duties as reasonably assigned, aligned with the responsibilities of this role.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

  • Education: Minimum of a Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) with a mean grade of ‘C-’ (C minus) or equivalent.
  • Experience: At least three (3) years of relevant driving experience.
  • License: Valid Class BCE Driving License with no endorsements.
  • Certification: Occupational Trade Test Grade III for drivers.
  • Compliance: Must meet the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution.

  5. Credit Reference Bureau (CRB) Clearance Certificate
