Edwin Castro, America’s first lottery billionaire, appears to have struck lucky again after dating an Instagram model who describes herself as a poet, writer, critic and screenwriter.
The 31-year-old, who won $997 million after taxes in the 2022 Powerball drawing, kissed 24-year-old Payten Vincent outside Los Angeles hotspot Nobu on Sunday morning after the two spent the evening together.
Castro deleted his social media accounts after his record-breaking lottery win, but his new girlfriend now has 125,000 followers on her Instagram account, where she has posted selfies of herself partying with celebrities including rapper Flavor Flav and DJs Cedric Gervais and Diplo.
The upper-class young lady carried a Christian Dior saddlebag and wore a short black dress and white heels as she left the chic sushi restaurant in Malibu on Saturday evening.

When she returned the next morning with her new boyfriend in his $500,000 Porsche, she was dressed in baggy pants and a black crop top. He was wearing only a loose-fitting T-shirt and black cargo pants.
Castro has only been photographed on a few dates since winning the $2 billion (before taxes) jackpot in November 2022. But he clearly has a penchant for seafood, having taken a mystery blonde to Sushi Park in West Hollywood in February.
Her new date’s LinkedIn page says she graduated from Falmouth High School on Cape Cod, Massachusetts, where she was interested in alpine skiing, among other things.
She has worked as a freelance model and as a ‘food critic for all types of cuisines, with a focus on fine dining and restaurants that cater to people with celiac disease’.
Her work as a screenwriter remains a mystery, but her Instagram page links to a blog page where she has published some of her poems under the title ‘Reckless Intelligence’.
“The depressing life of a restless girl,” she writes. “The beautiful aimless will of the world.
‘Annoyed nihilist, inquisitive philosopher, the lessons you can learn nowhere else but in the wake of the speedboat.’
It is not known whether Castro spent his money on a speedboat, but he did buy a $47 million mansion in Bel Air, a $25 million home in the Hollywood Hills and a $4 million Japanese home in Altadena for his mother and father, near the suburb where he grew up.

As a teenager, Vincent volunteered at the Portland Maine Homeless Shelter for over 18 months as a meal preparer and server.
These days, she spends more time at Hollywood locations including Tao Nightclub, Poppy and Nightingale Plaza, and attends VIP outings to Coachella in California and Art Basel in Miami.
Her greatest possession turns out to be a young albino hedgehog, but it appears the creature did not accompany her on her world travels to Puerto Rico, France and South America.
“I love this country so much and would really love to live there,” she wrote after a trip to Belize in 2022.

Perhaps she’ll find the bus she’s looking for in Castro’s classic car collection, which now includes a classic white Porsche 911, a gray Ram 1500 TRX, three Volkswagen Karmann Ghias, a 1970s British Racing Green Porsche 356, and a black 1980s Porsche 911.
His Bel Air estate also features a champagne tasting room, a suspended glass walkway, a glass-walled, swimming pool-sized koi pond and an infinity pool.
